We are clearly seeing more instances of multi-agency collaboration during times of mass crisis with an increasing pace of wildland fire, hurricane impact, and other disaster events. Law enforcement, fire, and emergency management agencies can choose from many push-to-talk over cellular (PTToC) offerings serving the market today. Some offers deliver 3GPP Mission-Critical Push-to-Talk/Data/Video. Some offer over-the-top services. But achieving interoperability becomes a big challenge in a crisis that brings together users from different agencies using disparate PTToC solutions. With InteropONE, BK Technologies presents a novel approach that gets all ad-hoc team members on the same communications channel with minimal friction. The approach incorporates a flexible business model that reduces barriers for visiting agencies when they engage with a partner that has requested assistance.
